The Bioflor + STD12 urogenital panel is the most complete urogenital health test at IntroLab laboratory. A single vaginal-cervical swab answers two questions: is there an infection, and is the natural protective flora in balance. What does the Bioflor + STD12 urogenital panel include?

The panel has two parts:

  1. Quantitative analysis of the vaginal flora, i.e. the ratio of lactobacilli to vaginosis and aerobic vaginitis bacteria, in the same percentage format as the Bioflor vaginal microflora analysis.
  2. Detection of 12 sexually transmitted and urogenital pathogens, listed in the table.

Why test the flora and pathogens from the same swab?

Itching, burning and increased discharge can be caused by an infection, disrupted flora or both at the same time. Testing them separately means two visits and two reports. This panel gives a single report: the percentage composition of the flora and a result for each of the 12 pathogens in one place.

When is the comprehensive panel recommended?

  • when symptoms recur or do not respond to treatment;
  • when previous tests did not give a clear answer;
  • before pregnancy, IVF or gynaecological procedures;
  • as a complete preventive check-up.

If you only need HPV genotyping, IntroLab also offers separate HPV genotyping for genotypes 16 and 18.

How much does the urogenital panel cost and how long do results take?

The Bioflor + STD12 urogenital panel costs 19,000 RSD. Done separately, Bioflor (16,000 RSD) and Pathogen Panel 12 (10,500 RSD) cost 26,500 RSD in total, so the combined price is 7,500 RSD lower. Results for both parts of the panel arrive together, in 72 hours.
