IntroLab at the MIND Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Medicine
Artificial intelligence is increasingly changing how diagnoses are made, data is processed and decisions are taken in medicine. This was the focus of the MIND conference (Medical Innovation through Digital Transformation), held from 25 to 29 September 2026 at Sava Centar in Belgrade.
The IntroLab team was part of this event. We wanted to hear first-hand how new technologies are applied in medicine and what they mean for laboratory diagnostics.
How AI is changing diagnostics
At the MIND conference, we gained new insights into how artificial intelligence is changing diagnostics, data analysis and personalised medicine. A laboratory processes a large number of results every day. Therefore, these topics directly affect the speed and accuracy of our work.
The topic of using AI tools in diagnostics was especially important to us. The key question is how to apply them responsibly, in the service of doctors and patients.
The expert remains at the centre of the decision
The most important conclusion we took away is that artificial intelligence does not replace the expert. Instead, it gives them better tools for more accurate and faster decisions for the benefit of the patient. Experience, knowledge and responsibility remain the foundation of every result that leaves the laboratory.
Investing in knowledge for our patients
Taking part in the MIND conference is part of IntroLab’s broader approach of continuous education for our team.
